Horne Legal was established in 2020 and has grown steadily to being awarded the Best Agriculture Law Firm – Sydney at the APAC Legal Awards 2023.

Timothy G Horne – Director

Tim is a product of Deakin University, Melbourne where, in 2008, he completed a Bachelor of Laws (graduating with honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Finance and Economics).

He completed his articles at Gadens Melbourne and formed part of their Banking and Finance Litigation team.  There he was directly involved in Victorian, interstate, federal and international commercial litigation matters.

His main clients included the biggest financial institutions in Australia – Commonwealth Bank, National Australia Bank, AMP and Westpac.

Following this, Tim took on a role in Wealth Management in Mexico. He has subsequently mastered Spanish and gained a Mexican wife and two adorable children.

Whilst in Mexico, Tim worked with a broad range of clients and projects (including Austrade) which has only enhanced his commercial expertise and broadened his network.

Tim returned to Australia to assist with a major class action for NSW irrigators against the MDBA.  He has subsequently worked closely with many regional groups in advocating for many issues around water law and property rights.

Horne Legal was set up by Timothy Horne to focus on dynamic relationships with clients to better serve their needs.  Communication, responsiveness and focus on obtaining success through the success of its clients are the core values.

Antonella Barry – Paralegal

Antonella has extensive experience within the Commercial Law industry including working for one of the largest global law firms, Baker & McKenzie for 20 years, primarily within the Hotel Resorts & Tourism and Commercial Property Practice Groups.

She has also worked in-house for Optus and has acquired experience across a broad range of practice areas.

Some key highlights from her career so far include, assisting major corporations on lease commitments as well as assisting with Australian and International hotel and resort developments, leases and management agreements.

Outside of her busy legal role, Antonella is passionate about food, nutrition and health having recently completed a Bachelor of Complementary Medicine (Nutrition & Dietetics). In future she would love to combine this training with her legal background and do some work in the FSANZ space, perhaps with compliance.

Jamieson Doyle-Taylor – Consultant

 

Jamieson heads up the Queensland practice and brings a wealth of experience to Horne Legal having previously worked for some of the largest and most reputable domestic and international law firms on a range of cutting-edge transactions representing an impressive list of major corporates and financial institutions both in Australia and abroad.

A Gold Coast local, having completed a Bachelor of Laws (graduating with honours) and a Bachelor of Business (majoring in Accounting) at Griffith University, Jamieson understands the local market and has significant community links. Like Tim, he is focussed building meaningful relationships with a view to obtaining success through the success of his clients.

Separately he is an Accredited AFL Player Agent and Founder of Gold Coast based sports consulting agency, G2G Sports.

Ash Park – Mediator

Ash was raised in the United Kingdom in a small town in the West Midlands area called Penkridge. In 2014 Ash studied business at Birmingham University and then went and attended Health & Safety course where he was awarded his IOSH Certificate.

In 2023 Ash was awarded his certification by Resolution Institute to become a qualified Mediator.

As a seasoned Mediator with a proven track record, Ash brings over 8 years of experience in facilitating successful resolutions across a range of industries within APAC region and the UK. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a dynamic and proactive approach, effectively managed complex negotiations and fostering collaborative solutions.

Ash has thrived in fast-paced environments while maintaining productive relationships with challenging stakeholders. His industry knowledge encompasses Commercial and Residential Property, FMCG, Automotive, Banking and Insurance enhancing his ability to navigate diverse mediation scenarios.

His unique strength lies in his customer-centric mindset, which drives his ability to defuse conflicts and reach resolutions that satisfy all parties involved. Ash is adept at utilizing my problem-solving skills to navigate challenging negotiations, ensuring that the outcomes are equitable and conducive to maintaining positive relationships. With a history of successful outcomes, he is well-equipped to bring a collaborative and
constructive approach to any mediation process.

In addition to having a diverse background, Ash has assisted and managed dispute resolutions for clients such as Scentre Group, Coty Australia, Renault Retail Group and The Arch Co which is partly owned by Blackstone.
